Blind Bet in Texas Holden Poker

A blind bet refers to an ante in gambling, while a pot is started filling in the game with some money, before even the dealing of the cards. Whereas, the ante covers a small amount of money that is contributed by every player to the pot for starting it off, but the working of the blind bet is quite different. In the case of blind bet, the player is forced placing a bet even before he sees the cards. It means the blind bet is made by the player before he actually looks over his cards. Once after the dealing of all of the cards, the counting of the blind bet of the player is done as a live bet that has been made by him. The same option is facilitated to all other players in the game to accomplish in the regular round of betting.
For example, before the cards are dealt in the game of Texas Holden poker, the blind bet is placed by a player into the pot. Now, all the cards are dealt and every player observes what has been dealt to that player. Then, the second player decides as if he is interested in calling, folding or raising the amount of the blind bet. The next action is to be dealt by the third player and in this way, the regular round of betting continues.
After reaching the round of betting, the player one who started with the placement of the bet in the betting round remembers it and the thing that his money is already invested in the pot in this betting round. If he wishes to stay in the hand, he can call for the additional raises that are made in the game. However, if no body is interested to rise, the player who has already made the ‘blind bet’ remains away from placing more money in to the gambling pot.
In short, the blind bet comprises a bet that is forced by a player to bet to make before he actually gets his cards to see. The purpose behind the concept of blind bet in the Texas Holden game is about ensuring that the gambling pot is already containing some amounts before dealing all the cards and forward to it, all the round of live betting are started.
