Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow, based on a Chinese game of domino but played using poker combinations now, is a very popular casino game. Despite simply being a game, many strategies can be developed around it. You can be aggressive and try to win the prize, taking a risk by playing in a fast way, or be conservative to maximize your play time. It's played with a pack of 52 cards plus one joker (a 53 cards deck). You can use the joker as a wild card, but it can only have the value of an ace or be used to complete a straight, flush or straight flush.

The dealer and players get dealt 7 cards each. You have to split your cards into 2 hands: a 2 card hand and a 5 card hand. Your 5 card hand, also known as high hand, must be stronger than the low hand (2 card hand). The only exception to the order of the values in hands is that A-2-3-4-5 is the second best straight or straight flush before the K-Q-J-10-9 and only below A-K-Q-J-10. A straight flush is beaten by the 5 Aces hand, using a Wild Card as the fifth Ace. In the low hand, any pair beats unmatched cards because pairs are the only combination possible. Your goal is to beat both of the dealer’s hands. If one hand ranks exactly the same as the Banker's hand, this is a tie. All ties are won by the house.

If you beat the dealer in only one hand but not the other you get a Tie. There are not money exchanges in case of a “push”.

You win even money, minus a 5% commission. If your hands lose, your bet money is lost.

Placing a Bet

To place a bet you click on the chip you want and this chip will be added to the bet spot on the table. Every time you click on a chip it will be added to the current bet. Chips are ordered from the one with the higher value to the lower one.

To remove a bet click on the spot where your bet is and the chip on top will be removed. You can do this for every chip you got on the betting spot.

Playing the Game

Once you have placed your bets, press "DEAL" button to start the game. Seven cards are dealt to each side of the table, on set for the player and the other for the dealer.

Now you have two options:

  1. You can arrange your hand “the house way” by pressing the HOUSE button. As the dealer finishes arranging his hand, the hands are shown.
  2. Select 2 cards for your low hand. Press over the card and it will go to the low hand.

If you press on a card in the hands, they will return and will be unselected. After selecting your low hand, press “DONE” to continue the game and get the results.

When playing the hands is over, you can start another game with a different amount on the bet, or switch to a new one.
